Lesbian

I had never kissed a woman. In the mirror of her foyer, I understood that afternoon would involve far more than watching.

I thought my future would be decided by the owner of the coast’s most expensive club. I never imagined the final test would be given by his right hand, a woman seasoned by years in the trade.

When the bathroom door opened, I already had the gun raised and a very clear idea of how I was going to bring that bastard to heel before we left.

The first time Carla crossed her legs in the back seat, I knew those drives were going to complicate my life far more than I ever imagined.

I was twenty and had never seen a naked man when Mariela took my hand to the back wall and whispered that I should look through the crack.

The noise was coming from the gym. Samanta thought thieves were inside; what she saw through the half-open door left her breathless and changed how she felt about her mother.

When I pulled her thong down to put cream on her, I noticed the couple next to us had stopped pretending. And then I understood that watching was part of the game too.

She had been beside me, watching as I lost myself in the painting. When she finally spoke, I knew we both wanted exactly the same thing.

Every time she leaned over to write down my answers, her vest opened a little more, and I could no longer concentrate on a single question in the questionnaire.

We always played at being girlfriends in front of everyone, until heat, the river, and a few beers blurred the line between the game and what we really wanted.

I arrived at her place an hour before dinner and found her naked in front of the mirror, torn between two dresses and about to change everything.

There were twenty photos and a video hidden in a folder with a single letter. I opened it expecting anything but what I was about to see.

We were two lesbians on holiday looking for one last night together; I never thought a simple kiss would end with everyone tangled up on the same sofa.

I let my guard down with a silly question about group sex, and Antonella smiled as if she’d been waiting months for someone to ask it.

I let my guard down for a second and Renata had already locked the door. She knew my secret, and she intended to use it to get exactly what she wanted from me.

You didn’t plan to work that day, but the message sounded like an order. What you didn’t know was that your coworkers had been waiting weeks to see you walk in like that.

She trusted her blindly, which is why she didn’t ask where they were going when the car left the highway and headed for the coast with the professor in the back seat.

They left the club at two in the morning. Renata had no idea the real show that night was playing on a screen at the foot of the bed.

She came to buy my book and sat on my lap with her back to me. “Read it slowly, out loud,” I asked, as my fingers began moving down her belly.
